FIRST STATE CAPITOL BUILDING

CORYDON, IN

Weddle helped prepare the First State Capitol grounds leading up to various bicentennial events. The building had a history of flooding and needed some upgrades to host future events as it's location and historical significance make it a destination spot in Corydon. During construction some areas were deemed as archaeologically significant and Weddle made the necessary accommodations to work around these conditions. We were able to install site drainage, rain gardens, sidewalks, and irrigation to alleviate the flooding. Additionally, the building was not set up for power, so we set up site lighting and a few additional outside features that are used for events and weddings
