LOVE COMMUNITY REC CENTER
The Rush County Community Foundation received a $5 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc., paving the way for the long-envisioned Love Community Center. The 50,000 SF former Walmart was transformed into a hub for essential community services, including an expanded Rushville Public Library, a larger food pantry with a commercial kitchen, and offices for WIC, ICAP, the Senior Citizens Center, and Firefly Children & Family Alliance. A new 16,000 SF wing added a fitness center, basketball court, track, indoor pool, and daycare. The Love Community Center brought decades of planning to life, creating a centralized, accessible space for growth, support, and connection.
