For the third straight year, Weddle was named one of the 100 Best Places to Work in Indiana. We are honored to be named to this list for a third straight year, and owe this honor to the hard work and dedication of our employees.
Weddle Bros. Construction Companies was selected, for the second year in a row, one of the BEST PLACES TO WORK IN INDIANA!
"The companies selected represent some of our most outstanding Hoosier employers. They embrace the idea that a positive work culture that includes respect, communication, opportunity and being part of a team not only makes it a place in which employees want to work but also fuels the success of the company,” states Indiana Chamber President Kevin Brinegar.
“We had our highest number of applicants to date this time – 200 in total,” he relays. “It’s becoming more competitive and we are glad to see that. Going forward, we will continue to push for Hoosier businesses throughout the state to apply to be considered.”
The actual rankings for the companies will be unveiled at a May 5 awards dinner, presented in partnership with Hylant, at the Indiana Convention Center (Sagamore Ballroom) in downtown Indianapolis.
These top companies in the state were determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys. The Best Companies Group, which handled the selection process, oversees similar programs in 27 other states.
Winners were selected from four categories: small companies of between 15 and 74 U.S. employees; medium companies of between 75 and 249 U.S. employees; large companies of between 250 and 999 U.S. employees; and major companies with 1,000 or more U.S. employees. Out-of-state parent companies were eligible to participate if at least 15 full-time employees are in Indiana.
Our Sembower field renovation is almost complete! We took the site of IU’s old baseball and softball complexes, over 9 acres of total land, and turned it into 6 acres of artificial turf and surrounding facilities that are already in use by students for fall intramural sports. This fully lit site will be used day and night for years to come by IU faculty and students. Make sure to drive by and check out the new look of Sembower field next time you are on IU’s campus.
Perry County Memorial Hospital began serving patients in May of this year. Weddle Bros. was the General Contractor for this new stand- alone hospital built in Tell City.
